We are pleased to report that the bond issue passed with 76.69% “YES” vote and we thank you for your support!

With the passage of this bond issue, we will add much-needed space to Grain Valley High School. Bids for the project are being initiated this week. As soon as school lets out in May, we expect work to begin to relocate the current parent drop-off lane across the north side of the school further to the north to make room for the 30,000+ square foot addition. The new drop-off lane will be finished this summer. Construction of the addition will occur throughout the next school year and will conclude the summer of 2019 and in time for the 2019-2020 school year.

This is the fourth of several phases of work to ultimately double the size of our high school from its size when this long-range plan began in 2012, and to update it into a modern learning facility.

Our community has placed their trust in us to deliver on this project and we take that responsibility very seriously. We will update you on construction progress over the next sixteen months of this project.

Thank you, again, for your support with this bond issue and construction project.
