School District Community,

What a great night for the students, community, and staff of Grain Valley! In case you didn't see it, Grain Valley School District residents overwhelmingly passed our most recent bond issue with a 76.35% “yes” vote.

Construction at North Middle School will begin immediately after the last day of school in May. Completion of that portion of the project will be in the summer of 2020, just in time for the 2020-2021 school year. Assuming bids for the middle school project allow for the turf refresh, that project should begin shortly after the fall activities season this year.

This middle school expansion keeps us on track with our long-range facilities planning as growth continues in our school district. Over the next few years we will ask for your approval to continue the work at the high school until that project is completed. We are also monitoring our enrollment growth in the elementary grades and will ask for another elementary school when that need arises.

Thank you for the support and trust you continue to show for the school district. It is an honor and privilege for all of us who work in the district to be a part of such a wonderful district and community.

Sincerely,

Marc A. Snow
Superintendent of Schools
