Request for Qualifications (RFQ) for Insurance Broker

The Grain Valley School District is issuing this Request for Qualifications (RFQ) for insurance broker that it believes can best fulfill its needs. The respondents must be able to: (1) Serve as Broker for the Grain Valley School District to handle the placement of the following: Property, Inland Marine, Electronic Data Processing, Systems Breakdown, Cyber Security, Crime, Liability, and Workers’ Compensation insurance for the July 1, 2021 renewal. (2) Serve as Broker to handle the future placement of the above referenced policies, until such time that the services of Broker relationship is terminated. (3) Serve as an active partner of the School District’s overall risk management needs.

  • A complete description of the required scope of services for each task is included in this Request for Qualifications (“RFQ”) and on the Grain Valley School District website, www.grainvalleyschool.org.

  • Please submit two (2) hard copies and one (1) PDF copy to the school district by 2:00PM February 11, 2021. Questions relating to the RFQ can be submitted to ngooch@gvr5.net. Any late responses will not be accepted.
  • During the evaluation process, the Grain Valley School District reserves the right to request additional information or clarifications from proposers, or to allow corrections of errors or omissions. Firms may be requested to make oral presentations as part of the final evaluation process.
  • The Grain Valley School District reserves the right to cancel this RFQ, or to reject any and all proposals, or any portion of any proposal, received in response to this RFQ, upon its determination that such cancellation or rejection serves the best interests of the school district. There is no expressed or implied obligation for the Grain Valley School District to reimburse firms for any expenses incurred in preparing proposals in response to this request.
  • Responses must be submitted by 2:00PM February 11, 2021. The broker selected to represent the Grain Valley School District will be notified by March 1, 2021. Brokers submitting responses, but not selected, will also be notified.
