Grain Valley Schools has an exciting opportunity for future educators! At Grain Valley Schools, we are committed to ensuring student teachers are set up for success. That is why we are now offering paid stipends! Candidates who choose to student teach in Grain Valley School may receive a stipend of approximately $3,000 upon completing their placement. Stipends are limited and awarded through a competitive interview process. Interested candidates are encouraged to apply as early as possible!

Grain Valley Schools welcomes enthusiastic student teachers from accredited colleges and universities. To ensure a smooth placement process, please follow these steps:
- University Sponsorship Required
- Requests to student teach in our district must come directly from a sponsoring college or university.
- Submit a Completed Application
- All candidates must submit a completed student teaching application to the district.
- Provide a Formal Placement Request
- A formal placement request from your sponsoring college or university is required to process your application.
Important: Student teachers should not contact individual teachers or building administrators to request information or seek placement. All requests must go through the sponsoring university/college and the district office.
Following these steps ensures a smooth, professional process and a positive experience for both student teachers and our staff.

Classroom observation placements for college students are arranged through an agreement between the college/university placement office and Grain Valley Schools' district office. To ensure proper documentation, the college/university must provide written confirmation that includes:
- The purpose of the observation
- The names of the students being placed
- The duration of the observation, including specific dates and times
Important: Students should not contact individual teachers or building administrators to request a classroom observation. All request must go through the sponsoring university/college and the district office.This process helps coordinate meaningful observation experiences while maintaining a smooth and organized schedule for both students and staff.
