Valley Kids participants must be capable of full inclusion in program activities and of self-managing toileting needs. Valley Kids will delay and/or deny entry when operations would have to be fundamentally altered in order to provide services. The same applies to situations in which a participant’s presence poses a direct threat to his/her health or safety or to others. Failure to fully disclose allergy information, medical conditions, medication health plan and educational services when applying may delay entry or require immediate removal from the program.
Our before and after-school care program is optional and operates separately from the instructional school day. While we strive to support all students, the accommodations and services provided through a student’s IEP or 504 Plan in the educational setting may not always be available in our childcare program. Enrollment is not denied based on these needs; however, all students are expected to follow the program’s behavioral expectations to ensure a safe and positive environment for all participants.

Valley Kids is fee-based, with weekly tuition covering all operating costs, including field trips and special activities. Therefore, the program relies on prompt payments from parents in order to operate the program. Our program operates under three separate contracts that require separate enrollment dates.
- 2025/2026 School Year (August - May) Enrollment opens July
- Summer SOAR (June) Enrollment opens April 1, 2026
- Eagles Camp (July & August) Enrollment opens May 4, 2026
Valley Kids reserves the right to cap student enrollment at any site location at any time in order to maintain appropriate staff-to-student supervision ratios. Parents are responsible for providing all transportation for their child.
Tuition includes daily milk/juice alongside breakfast and snack. Tuition fees occur weekly regardless of attendance to the program. The enrolling parent is financially responsible for weekly tuition fees and ensuring they are paid on time. Payment is due the first day of scheduled service per week. If for any reason you withdraw from Valley Kids and later need to utilize the program, re-registration is required.
Prorating: Valley Kids full-time tuition is billed in full if Grain Valley School District is in session for at least 3 days in a given week. Proration will only apply if the district is in session for 2 days or fewer in a calendar week. In the event that a proration occurs, all full-time accounts will be billed at our part-time rate. Full tuition credits will only be issued if the district is closed for the entire week. Valley Kids part-time tuition is billed in full if Grain Valley School District is open for at least 1 day in a given week. Credits will only be issued if the district is closed for the entire week.
Multi-child discounts will not be included in the event prorating occurs
In the event Valley Kids needs to prorate your account after that week's invoice has been sent, it will be applied as a credit to the following week's invoice.
